OBSERVATION![]() Specific time of monitoring during testing and treatment responses. ACUTE CAREYou are ill. You don't know what's wrong. You have a temperature. You ache. It sounds like you may have pneumonia. You come to see us, here you are examined by a physician and given the tests to determine exactly what is wrong with you. You receive treatment. You get better. You go home. If you do not respond to treatment and improve, it may be determined that you need more specialized treatment and care and you are transferred to another hospital of your choice.
SKILLED CARE*You have an operation in Great Bend or Dodge City. Lucky you... everything went fine. Unlucky you...you will be in the hospital for about a week recuperating. If you wish, you can be transferred to Us for your recovery period and rehabilitation therapies. This is handier for your friends, family and you and you are in local surroundings.
INTERMEDIATE CARE AND LONG TERM CARE*You are recovering from a stroke. You have made good progress but do not yet feel well enough to be living at home. You stay with Us until you feel confident that you can care for yourself. Taking care of the daily routines, taking care of a home or apartment, taking care of the many chores that need attention has become too much for you. You do not want to move away, and there are not facilities elsewhere that seem to meet your needs. You come to Us to reside where skilled staff can look after your needs. There is always someone to provide whatever services you require.
*NOTE: Not all insurance companies will pay for all services that the patient may request. Some of these services are available on a "private pay" basis.Accommodations available for family.
